Scaynes Hill Women’s Institute

Scaynes Hill W.I. was formed in 1917 and is one of the oldest in the County and welcomes any ladies from Scaynes Hill or the surrounding areas to come and join us. We meet on the second Wednesday afternoon of each month from 2 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. in the Millennium Centre.

Our group is very sociable and a great way to meet people. We have speakers on a variety of topics at our monthly meetings and during the year visits are arranged to places of interest. We also support village events like the Flower Show and the Christmas Market.

On the third Wednesday of each month, we meet at 10.30 for coffee and a chat or bring along your knitting, crochet or just relax with a cuppa.

On the fourth Wednesday of the month from 1.30 p.m. – 3.30 p.m. we hold a craft group in the Millennium Centre. Sometimes we learn a new skill or we bring along our own projects to work on whilst chatting. We have tried our hands at card making, macrame, Tunisian crochet, glass painting, beaded decorations, Easter boxes and quilling.

If you would like more information about the W.I. in Scaynes Hill, please e-mail us or contact one of our committee members who will be delighted to talk to you and answer any questions or just come along to one of our meetings.
