Today five new swift nest-boxes have been erected in the village. One is on The Farmers’ pub, and the others are on private houses. It is a long shot, but it is hoped that swifts that are passing through might be interested in setting up home in Scaynes Hill. Swifts are an endangered species and so we should be encouraging them in any way we can.
