Extinction Rebellion has recently offered a talk with slides 'Heading for Extinction and What to Do About It' to packed audiences in Hurstpierpoint and Hassocks, and the newly formed XR Mid Sussex are now hosting this free talk, in Centenary Hall, Haywards Heath on Thursday March 5 at 7.45pm. The talk includes a concise and powerful presentation of the science behind the crisis we're facing, action needed to meet it and how we can all be a part of that.
For many, Extinction Rebellion (XR) currently seems to call up an image of someone on top of a tube train. In my own experience over nearly a year now, that is far from representative of the positive, peaceful and creative approach that has enabled XR to be a central factor in widening awareness of the climate emergency and bringing it to the top of our national agenda. Of course, there is still much more to do!
NB. This talk is not suitable for children
