SUMMARY:Lindfield Village Day
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating its 47th year in 2025\, the event expects to include the following: over 130 stalls on the Common\, the Grand Competition Tent\, a children’s dog show\, a tasty Food & Drink Quarter (also on the Common)\, soft play area and an arena for events/games during the afternoon.  The Firing of the Anvil on the Common at noon will kick off proceedings and the start procession from Hickmans Lane Playing Field down the High Street – featuring hundreds of villagers making their way to the Common.  Do come along and join in the fun.

SUMMARY:Welcome to our Woods Day
DESCRIPTION:This FREE event is organised jointly by Scaynes Hill Sustainability Group and St Augustine’s Church Ecoteam.  There will be a range of activities on offer to explore the woods and to help everyone feel at home there. \n\nUse map reading skills to navigate the woods and find clues to complete the challenge (maps provided) – a great way to develop the confidence to explore and enjoy the woods\nAll age craft activities using natural materials – in the woods or in church if weather is poor. Create ‘bumblebees in flight’\, clay plaques with leaf impressions to your own design\, and story wands and ‘sticky pictures’ as mementos of the journey round the woodland paths.\nGet a little way off the beaten track and take the time to sit for a while and absorb the sounds and the stillness of the woodland world.\n\nVolunteers will be on hand to guide visitors. \nTea\, coffee and homemade cakes will be available in St Augustine’s Church annexe. \nUnder sixteens must be accompanied by a responsible adult. \nAlthough this event is FREE\, booking is necessary as numbers may have to be limited\, so book early to avoid disappointment.  For more details and to book do one of the following: \n\nClick here to go directly to the Eventbrite entry\nGo to Eventbrite.co.uk and search for “Welcome to our Woods Day”\nContact Cilla on 01444-831364\n\nWith kind permission from the Woodland Trust for the use of Costells Wood.
